Adventures in the near-rock music orbit

 

Maiden Ground began as the musical partnership of Colette Eckert and Mark Zug, performing throughout the Central Pennsylvania area as a duo. We play our favorite music: U2, The Indigo Girls, Neko Case, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and onward. To these we've added our originals, which owe everything to our love of classic rock, folk, Americana, the blues, and all the various Brit invasions.

 We currently play a semi-acoustic format, spiked with electric guitar, piano, and some percussion. We occupy a sonic sweet spot, not as loud as a rock band, but more robust than a pair of acoustics.

Our name signifies virgin territory; damp earth upturned toward the sun and seedful ideas; a place where tiny changes can make a very big difference. Thank you for finding your way to our website. Watch us grow!
